Archive for February, 2010

Elsa is itsy bitsy.  She was 4 days old when we took these pictures. My little Hazel was a whole 2 lbs bigger (she was a chunk) than Elsa when she was born.

I really cant remember holding a baby this small. I loved holding her.

Elsa’s big sister  Emilia helped out a lot too. Thanks Emilia! Hope you guys like the pictures!

Meet Finn: The cutest little guy.

As soon as his mom opened up the door, I knew I would love him. He has the most beautiful blue eyes, which made it a piece of cake to photograph him.

My goodness. I wanted to take him home.

Pretty things….

Isn’t this little bulb amazing? What a great idea. I love the look of terrariums….make it miniature, and it’s even better!

There is a tutorial on Apartment Therapy’s Unplggd. Check out the bottom of the picture for the link.

I love these chairs too. I’ve always been a sucker for Orla Kiely fabric, and a danish inspired chair…..mmmmm.

Chris Benz’s Spring collection is amazing. I love the sparkles and ruffles.

Check out a lovely set of photos from Sarah Roads here.  They are seriously the cutest couple.

This week has been so busy.  I will be back to post pictures  a little cutie named Finn.

A day through my Iphone

February 12, 2010

I had the best day today.

First, my husband was off work. We packed up little Hazel and went to some antique shops.

Hazel really likes playing with clothes. Hmmm….I don’t know why.

Found this little guy…

Out and about

Dropped Hazel off at my parents so we could go to a movie.

Picked Hazel up after the worst movie… EVER.

She loves Izzy.

Picture of a picture I like.

Hazel’s first Valentine came in the mail.

Picking out fabrics for a fun project.

Spent some time with friends. Snapped a picture of Chloe’s room. Isn’t it cute?

Made some new inspiration clip boards. I got this idea from Rachel, and I loooove it.

There is a little peak into my day. I am really excited about lovey day (aka Valentine’s).

I always get sentimental this time of year.

Narwhals & a tooth brush

February 11, 2010

Today I realized that narwhal’s are actually a real thing. I always thought they were a mythic creature, like a unicorn.

I called my husband at work and asked if he knew narwhals were real. He replied with a very slow “ya”. I could tell he was slightly embarrassed for me.

I know, I should knows this. The movie Elf threw me off, I guess.

Aren’t they beautiful? I feel like a kid who just saw snow for the first time.

Anyway, it’s the small things…

In other news.  I went to the dentist yesterday and Hazel was given an itsy bitsy tooth brush.

She has been “brushing her teeth” constantly. I think it is the perfect remedy for her back teeth coming in.

Here she is examining her new tooth brush. So proud.

Hazel’s Room

February 10, 2010

Today, Maddie put up a little tour of Hazel’s room on her blog. Maddie lives in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Her blog is Li’l Magoolie. Add her to your google reader! She always posts she cutest baby things! Thanks Maddie!

Actually I can live without these things, but I like having them. Here is a list of my favorite indulgences.

I think I am pretty simple & easy to please, but somtimes a girl just needs to pamper. So here are the few things that float my boat, if you will.

First, I adore Dwell magazine. During Hazel’s nap time, I usually have my nose in this magazine (if emails are caught up & house is clean).

I get super inspired when I read Dwell. I am a sucker for good design. I love the lighting in all of the pictures.

After all, simplicity & wonderful lighting make the best picture.

My favorite thing for my hair is MORROCANOIL. I put it in after every shower. Makes your hair shiny & yummy smelling.

Who doesn’t love hair that smells good? It just makes you feel better.

My favorite perfume right now is Tokyo Milk: French Kiss. From Anthropologie, but you can find it here too.

Hillsong United never disappoints. Really enjoy this album.

and

I loooove Mates of State’s Rearrange Us album. They are the cutest husband and wife duo.

They also tour with their children. How cool are they?

And my favorite thing to indulge in is Google Reader.

Seriously. I love it. And…maybe Words With Friends app.

Sigh….

Baby Shower

February 4, 2010

I photographed another baby shower that Sharon designed.  The guest of honor was Megan. Doesn’t she look beautiful? The shower was just perfect. Sharon really knows how to make things cute. She adds the smallest touches that make a BIG difference. Everything was darling, from the hats on the plastic animals to the marshmallows sprinkled atop the cookies.

Snaps through the day*

February 4, 2010

I am very grateful that I get to stay home with Hazel, and work at the same time.  Here are a few pictures that I took through out the day. It’s a cozy day. Fluffy snow just started falling. I think I will make it a craft day.
